The Uganda Rugby Union through a statement released on 5th July, postponed the Nile special 7 sequel that were slated to open with the Mileke 7s circuit in three days.
This has been attributed to a busy calendar ahead of the Union who are presently focused on the international campaign of the national 15s and the two legs of the Elgon cup coming up later in the month. The national 7s squad too will be engaged in international events.
“we thus unfortunately have to postpone the Nile special 7s. The postponement does affect the regional 7 series which feed into the national 7s and were already on too.” The statement read.

The Nile Special 7s now change course to the 6th of August and not 9th July as earlier disclosed by this publication.
Uganda’s 15s team will be encountering Senegal today in game one of the Rugby Africa Cup playoffs at 4 pm (EAT) at the Stade Pierre-Delort in Marseille, France.
