The organisers of the Paul Bitok Volleyball tournament have revealed the dates of the championship that’s set to be held in Nairobi.
The tournament initially planned to be held in Kiminini, Bungoma County is set to be held on April 7th-9th at Nyayo National Stadium and Kasarani Stadium.
The women’s showpiece is expected to be held at Kasarani with men’s matches being played at Nyayo.
Kenya Volleyball Federation Vice President Charles Nyaberi, said the change of the venue was occasioned by the rains being witnessed across the country.
“We were forced to change the venue to a number of factors but the dates remain the same. Hosting the event in Kiminini meant that action will be staged outdoors and the weather may not be favourable. We were also requested by clubs that are preparing for the continentals to host the tournament indoors so as to test their readiness,” he said.

Paul Bitok said he’s expecting the tournament to attract top tier sides with several kenyan top clubs having already confirmed participation.
“we are looking forward to having a successful tournament. Rwanda Air wanted to sponsor teams to play but an agreement was not reached at. I am grateful to all sponsors who have come on board,” he said.
The tournament which will feature both the men’s and women’s sides will see winners from both categories walking away with Ksh. 100,000
